What if I get a traffic Ticket?
Tickets issued as a result of a motor vehicle violation shall be paid directly to the State of New Hampshire-DMV within 30 days from the date of issuance. Failure to do so may result in additional penalties and suspension of driving privileges. Carefully follow the directions of the back of the ticket and mail the ticket and payment in the envelope provided. The New Hampshire-DMV does accept payment using Mastercard and Visa. Payment using Mastercard and visa can also be paid over the telephone by calling 1-800-272-0036. You will need to have a copy of the ticket in hand when calling the DMV.
Tickets marked as “MUST APPEAR” require the attendance of the person summonsed to appear at the District Court on the date and time noted on the ticket. Failure to do may result in additional penalties and suspension of driving privileges, and warrant for arrest.
For additional information, you may contact the department prosecutor, Lieutenant Jonathan Uraskevich at (603) 742-8549, extension 303, via email.
